The brand new clinic has been designed with comfort and support in mind. It is a cozy environment where you can feel at ease as you explore your story, where you’ve come from, what has shaped you, and the direction you hope to grow into.

Through connection and understanding comes the opportunity for healing and growth.

Attachment develops in early life through the emotional bonds formed with others. These connections shape how we experience emotions, relationships, and life’s challenges. Decades of research show that the quality of our relationships deeply influences our well-being. Therapy offers a safe space to understand and strengthen these patterns, supporting mental health across the lifespan.

About Me

Hi, I’m Kirstie, Founder of The Attachment Space. I am a Registered Psychologist supporting individuals, children, adolescents, and families to build stronger, more secure relationships and enhance wellbeing across the lifespan.

My work is grounded in attachment-based psychotherapy and informed by a developmental lens, supporting people as they navigate different life stages, relationships, and emotional challenges.

I have a particular interest in helping adolescents and adults explore their sense of self, process past experiences, and understand how early attachment relationships continue to shape emotional regulation, self-worth, and patterns of connection. I commonly support clients experiencing anger, anxiety, depression, and relational distress, with a focus on building more secure and meaningful relationships in parenting, family dynamics, and intimate partnerships.

I also work with children and families to better understand emotional needs and strengthen relationships, supporting healthy emotional development over time.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I integrate a range of therapeutic models, including Circle of Security, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Schema-Informed Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs.

I understand that life’s challenges can feel isolating, and seeking support is a courageous step. Therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences, make sense of your emotions, and work toward meaningful and lasting change. Clients often describe feeling comfortable and able to open up in our sessions, and I aim to create an environment where people feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Personally, I love animals (particularly dogs). I love to travel and enjoy quality family time. The beach is a place where I feel calm and relaxed, and pasta is a comfort meal.
